Highlights of Istanbul , Half Day Guided and Walking Tour
General Information
If you come by a taxi. Please tell the driver to drop you off at the “ Sultanahmet cami” This is Blue mosque in Turkish and the meeting point is next to the mosque. If you come by tram, you will need to get off at the Sultanahmet/Blue mosque Tram Station. From the tram station walk down the hill on the right side of the road toward to the little mosque Firuz ağa . Take the first right onto the Hippodrome ( square ). You will see the green domed fountain in front of you. Please note that, the German fountain is not a fountain which splash the water. It is a monumental fountain with a green dome with taps around. If you come by a taxi, please don’t mention about German fountain as they most likely won’t know. You can tell them Blue mosque and better in Turkish ( Sultanahmet jammy )

Burak was AMAZING!!! He showed us so much during our layover and despite the rainy weather, we had a wonderful time! Burak is a true historian! His knowledge brings the city and every time period to life as you walk the city. He made sure we saw the sites we really had our hearts set on seeing, and made sure we left with every souvenir we hoped for. If you have a layover in Istanbul, THIS is the tour to take!!! But please COME VISIT ISTANBUL! Our tour was PERFECT but it just made us want to come back to see and experience more! It is safe. It is beautiful. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Walking on the rooftops of the Grand Bazaar was breathtaking. It felt like an exclusive, secret adventure with stunning panoramic views of the city. Unforgettable and absolutely worth it for the photos alone.

This Karaköy & Taksim food tour was honestly incredible. Beyk took me to small local spots I’d never find on my own — real neighborhood flavors. We tried menemen, midye, Turkish coffee and some sweet bites in Karaköy. Then walked up to Taksim for döner and street desserts. So tasty, fun, a litttle messy but I loved it 😅 If you want to taste “real Istanbul”, this is the tour.
